Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Resumes After 5 Years – Join the Sacred Journey with Nagarjuna Travels
Great news for all spiritual seekers and adventure lovers! The revered Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is finally set to resume in 2025 after a five-year hiatus. Postponed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the yatra is making a much-awaited return, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Every year, the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra draws devotees from across the country, blending faith, devotion, and high-altitude adventure. Now, after half a decade, pilgrims once again have the chance to embark on this divine expedition. Nagarjuna Travels is proud to welcome you aboard this spiritually uplifting journey to Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar – the abode of Lord Shiva.
Commencement Date: June 30, 2025, from Delhi
Route: Via the Lipulekh Pass, situated at an elevation of 17,000 feet in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh district
Total Groups: 5 groups, each comprising 50 pilgrims
Total Duration: 22 days per group
First Group Entry to China: July 10
Final Return to India: August 22
Your divine journey will begin in Delhi, followed by overnight halts in Tanakpur (Champawat) and Dharchula (Pithoragarh). The route will then take you through acclimatization stops at Gunji (2 nights) and Nabhidang (2 nights) before entering Taklakot (Purang County, China) via the Lipulekh Pass.
After darshan of Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar, the return leg will pass through beautiful Himalayan towns – Bundi, Chaukori, and Almora, before culminating back in Delhi.
All yatris will undergo comprehensive health screenings in Delhi and Gunji to ensure fitness for the high-altitude pilgrimage. This historic announcement followed a detailed coordination meeting between the Ministry of External Affairs and the Uttarakhand Government. The Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN) will once again oversee the smooth conduct of the yatra.
